If you see lines and imagine
a house,
flee architecture.
Who knows what you’ll do
to the skyline.
If a butternut squash
reminds you of
a recipe,
abandon the stove.
We don’t need our rock-steady
stomachs pumped.
Have you ever thought to paint
with the palette of your imagination?
Try it.
Stipple the world
brown.

Aeon
daniel on Nov 26th 2006
In fading shades blue to red to green
our clothing shifted colours;
it occurred to me then
that in the right light
you resemble an aeon.

Maths and Sciences
daniel on Nov 25th 2006
Take any two things and overlay.
Contrast, compare, compile the data and
contemplate.
You will be where I’ve been
for the last month or so:
doing maths.
Then, write a poem about a girl.
Run out of words.
Start over:
Take any two things and smash them
into fine dust. Add water.
If they separate out,
keep her.

You Are the Proudest Idiot I’ve Ever Known
daniel on Nov 25th 2006
Silvertongued gameplanner you
bolded forward like a blustery day,
all clamormaking but hollowcloudy;
where’d you get the idea you could be
cartographer, demarcator, and executor?
For instance, foundationing like
a drinksodden sailor you built a house
when you should have been foxholed.
Idiot, you’re saying. Wordmaking.
Idiot, I’m replying. Worldmaking.
Silvertongued twinepulling godplayer.
Idioter, you call me (ouchizing).
Idiotest, you call yourself.

City
daniel on Nov 25th 2006
City brawling like Bukowski:
I barely breathe, overshadowed.
Action verbs, strong nouns.
Motion, concrete.

Bloom
daniel on Nov 25th 2006
More than subsistence
on slight arid tracts of vacillating allegiance,
this terraced wonder blossoms randomly,
as if to imply a disregard of intervals.
Let it witness to double scrutiny
if tourists and sunlight are cast
in the same coin
as judge,
as jury.
Will this iteration stand?
Ah, but no tender asks that question
with bloom in eyesight, awestruck:
a hundredfold,
a thousand.

I found this amongst my family’s Switzerland Trip pictures. This photo boggles my mind.
