    I guess that you can use Planet as a reader if you want. It’s a startlingly public reader, though. But if you’re aggregating together a lot of sources on a subject and trying to provide value with it—like I use on RMFO-Blogs or what I do with GFMorris.net—there’s value in it.

    Personally, I’m working on transitioning to Venus, a fork of Planet, because I like what Sam Ruby is doing with the codebase.

    I didn’t put a lot of description into that particular description; reader is definitely not the right word. Although I wouldn’t really care if people were to see what feeds I’ve subscribed to.

    You do realize, don’t you, that the “web 2.0″ thing is just a clever ploy to get you to put a button on your site that drives traffic to their advertising links?
