Meandering things that also happen to be random.
I can’t seem to focus on anything today. Somehow it feels as if I should be out there somewhere biking a mile a minute or doing something other than working. Maybe I need a nice long relaxing vacation to ease things up a bit. Or maybe a bit of Focus in a Can would help. Unfortunately, everyone seems to be out.
Blog. It’s the latest and hippest word. Seems I’m the last one to find out about it. This year. This year, people! was when I first heard the word. I am so behind the crowd.
You know, I haven’t bought a big-ticket item for quite a while now, and my bank account is the better for it. I’m saving, of course, for that keyboard (the musical kind), and that digital camera. One has to wonder how long such savings will take. One has to answer the implied question: a very long time.
What is it that makes people always want more and bigger? I don’t get it, maybe because I just don’t have enough to know to want more. Should I keep it that way? There’s this guy at work that owns a huge, expensive house. He’ll never pay off the mortgage. He doesn’t have enough family members to even begin filling up the house. He and his wife both work, and his deranged mother-in-law takes care of the children. This is happiness how? The American Dream is owned by American Express.
I wonder what I’ll be doing in five years. Someone asked me the question and assumed that I’d be settling down and having children. I don’t know if I will. Even if I get married, children aren’t a sure thing. For all I know, I may devote my life to ministry, my wife may devote her life to ministry, and so much for children. Maybe I’ll never even get married. Maybe I’ll die in a few days. Maybe the world will end before I get to find any of these things out.
People are wierd. I’ve met so many offbeat, quirky people, it’s not funny. Some of them annoy the heck out of me, and I’m sure that goes both ways; some of them are funny, or just plain friendly, or acutely insane.
I have ten dollars in my pocket. I have no idea what I’m going to use it for, except that I want to play at least a couple games of LaserQuest.

Well said.
I am honoured to know you - if even only slightly. May your blogging (betcha that’s another word you’ve only know for a year!) prosper…
